Counterfeit bill used at Kingfisher business

KINGFISHER, Okla. – Police officers in Kingfisher are warning local businesses to stay alert after counterfeit money was used at a nearby store.

Officials with the Kingfisher Police Department say a counterfeit $100 bill was used in Kingfisher this past weekend.

Investigators warn that if a customer is trying to use a large bill at a register, employees should take all the steps necessary to authenticate it.
