A romance that unfolded on a college’s Snapchat story has captured the attention of people across the nation.
Last week, a female student from the University of Wisconsin declared her “love” for a fellow student on the UW Snapchat story.
“To the guy wearing the Vikings jersey in the UW Snap Story, I’m seriously in love with you. Find me,” the woman dubbed “Mystery Girl” said.
After a series of missed connections, “Vikings Fan” finally tracks down his admirer.
The YouTube video montage of the hilarious Snapchat story went viral, receiving more than 1.5 million views.
Since then, many have wondered what happened to the lovebirds.
Multiple media outlets were able to track down the couple, Abby and Reed, and ask them about the experience.

“I don’t regret what I snapped, because everybody is saying how bold and funny it was, but it definitely made me look a little desperate,” ‘Mystery Girl,’ Abby told New York Magazine. “But I don’t care, because obviously now I’m here.”
Reed told the magazine that he was working on a class project when a friend told him that a girl had “called him out” on Snapchat.
“I was thinking some girl was throwing hate at the Vikings or something, and I went on there ready to fire right back,” Reed said.
They almost missed each other the night they met.
“The KK was closing up when he finally got there, so the doors to get in were locked, and I couldn’t get back in. I actually had to sneak through the exit door,” Abby said. “Usually, if you do that the bouncer throws you out.”
When the two finally met, they ran into each other’s arms, New York Magazine reports.
“It was, um, pretty emotional,” Reed said.
“I almost didn’t let go,” Abby added.
Reed then walked Abby home, and the two have spent almost every day together since.
They told New York Magazine that they have been watching movies, baking brownies, and even attended a block party together.
“I told Reed to wear the Vikings jersey just for shits and giggles, because I didn’t think people would recognize us [at the party] unless he wore it,” Abby explained. “That was probably a bad move. We got there and within 45 seconds we were completely mobbed and had to leave.”
However, the two confirmed to the magazine that they are “definitely not dating.”
At least not right now anyways.
“When this starts dying down, we’ll start going on dates then,” Abby told Mashable.
