OKLAHOMA CITY —ย There was quite a scare in the Deaconess Hospital parking lot in Oklahoma City Wednesday afternoon. A crane tipped over onto a few cars and crashed into a nearby backyard.

Workers were in the process of removing a cooling tower from the top of the hospital when the crane somehow fell.

No one was injured in the accident including the crane operator.

It barely missed power lines as it came down two doors from Ione Layton who was in her backyard at the time.

She says, “By the time I got out of my chair, all I could see was the big old crane with its wheels in the air. I thought it was two semis that had crashed.”

It took two more cranes to right the one that fell.

The owner of the crane company, Rent-a-Crane, was on hand to investigate the cause of the crash.
