Worker injured after lift tips at Norman church, no daycare children hurt

NORMAN, Okla. – A worker is recovering after his lift tipped over at a Norman church Thursday morning.crane4

Norman Police said the worker may have back injuries and a broken arm after the accident at McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church at S. University Blvd. near W. Symmes St.

There is a daycare in the church but no children were near the lift or injured.

It has been closed for the day.

The McFarlin food pantry is also closed and officials have not said when it will reopen.

Authorities have not said what led to the accident.

The lifts are with CMR Construction and Roofing, it has been re-roofing the church.
