OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City Cremation is asking local families to donate their aged American flags as part of its “Retire Your Flag” program.

“Here at Oklahoma City Cremation, every veteran is cremated with a retired American flag,” explains Darin Corbett, owner of Oklahoma City Cremation. “It’s a meaningful way to honor the courageous men and women who have served our country and a patriotic way to retire your worn flag.”

When a flag is no longer worthy of display, families can simply drop it off at Oklahoma City Cremation at 910 N.W. 79th St to have the flag cremated free of charge.

The retired flag will be draped across a veteran’s casket at the time of cremation in Oklahoma City Cremation’s onsite crematory, according to a media release from Oklahoma City Cremation.
