OKLAHOMA CITY – No school today for students at Crooked Oak Public Schools in Oklahoma City.

Classes throughout the school district are canceled for Wednesday after a fire in their bus barn.

That school bus barn is in the Crooked Oaks School Complex, which is near Southeast 15th and Eastern.

The fire started as a smoke investigation around 4:15 a.m. Wednesday.

When fire crews got to the scene, there were flames and thick black smoke coming from a large metal building.

According to firefighters, the fire started in front of one of the buses.

Fire crews had a tough time getting into the bus barn because of an electrical fence.

Seven of the 8 buses in the building were damaged.
