SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A couple of customers decided to stop in for pancakes to ring in the new year.

However, they got more than they bargained for when a brawl broke out in the middle of Denny’s restaurant.

“I just expected to go in there and get some pancakes,” Timothy Holden told WNEM.

Holden and a friend decided to head to Denny’s for breakfast around 4 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

Right after ordering their food, they saw other customers jump from their seats.

“Next thing I know, I just see something fly,” said Tre’Varis Jones.

Fortunately, authorities say no injuries were reported but an investigation into the fight is ongoing.
