CLEVELAND COUNTY, Okla. – Authorities in Cleveland County are asking for help finding a convicted sex offender.

Officials say 33-year-old Daniel Richard Fletcher is wanted on multiple bench warrants stemming from previous felony convictions.

On Monday, a Cleveland County deputy stopped a white Chevy van for defective equipment in Norman.

When deputies spoke with the driver, he allegedly gave them a false name and date of birth.

However, the driver didn’t stick around for long.

Authorities say he hit the gas and led officers on a chase.

After the van stopped behind a home in the 17900 block of Newberry Rd., Fletcher and 33-year-old Heather Anderson ran from officers.

After searching for about an hour, Anderson was arrested for obstructing an officer.

However, Fletcher was not found.

In 2003, Fletcher was convicted of first-degree rape.

If you have any information on Fletcher, call the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office at (405) 701-8888.
