CAPTURED: Mayes County escapee captured in Tulsa

UPDATE: Authorities have captured 28-year-old Laurin Lemley, the woman who escaped while being escorted from the Mayes County courthouse. 

They found her in Tulsa.

PRYOR, Okla. – Mayes County Deputies are searching for a woman who escaped just moments after she was sentenced to only 30 days in jail.

According to the Mayes County sheriff, 28-year-old Laurin Lemley slipped out of her handcuffs while being escorted from the courthouse to the jail in Pryor Monday.

Lemley got 30 days in jail for failing to appear for community service, related to past drug charges.

Deputies searched but were unable to find her.

They said they believe she may have gotten away in a car.
