GRADY COUNTY, Okla. – A disagreement between neighbors turns violent and sends one man to the hospital with life threatening injuries after he was allegedly stabbed by his next door neighbor.

It allegedly started after a disagreement between the suspect and the victim’s wife. That is when police say the victim confronted his neighbor about it and things quickly escalated.

“They made us all get on the ground, and I was very frightened, because I’m on medication,” Phillip Nunn said.

However, the man police say Nunn’s brother stabbed is in the hospital fighting for his life.

“It was my brother Karl that they said did it,” Nunn said.

According to court documents, Karl Nunn repeatedly stabbed his neighbor Glen Crawford. Crawford’s wounds are so severe, they are life threatening.

Court records state after Karl Nunn had an altercation outside his home with Crawford, he ran back inside his home and grabbed a large knife from his kitchen.

“He had several stab wounds,” Grady County Assistant District Attorney Kara Bacon said.  “One I believe in the neck and shoulder section and in the back. They were consistent with being stabbed with a large knife.”

“All I know is that he came back in with blood on him, and he said call 911,” Phillip Nunn said.

When police arrived, they say there was no question who they needed to talk to.

“There were several witnesses who pointed in the direction of the defendant’s home,” Bacon said.

Nunn told officers he remembered getting the knife but that he did not recall using it on his neighbors. He was taken into custody, and Crawford was rushed to the hospital.

Nunn remains in the Grady County Jail and is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
