LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Disturbing surveillance video shows the moment a bus dragged a small child down the road.
Ally Rednour, 7, was getting off the bus after school when her backpack got stuck in the door.
Police say the bus dragged the child at least 100 feet, but neighbors believe the distance was a least the length of a football field.
The bus driver didn’t stop until the driver of a red Chevy Camaro sped up to the bus with its horn blaring, according to WAVE.
“I just couldn’t believe he drug her from the corner down to here without knowing,” neighbor Tom Carman said. “I couldn’t believe it — bouncing all the way down the street. It was bad.”
Officials say the little girl suffered road rash and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Although Rednour’s condition has not been released, she is expected to recover from her injuries.
Local school administrators have launched an investigation.
