Donation drive for animal fire victims

NORMAN, Okla. — The Animal Crisis Team and WOOF Animal Rescue will be holding a donation drive for the animal victims of the recent wildfires. 

Walmart – Norman (West side)

Saturday, Aug. 11
9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Items needed:

  • dog and cat food
  • cat litter
  • litter pans
  • toys
  • treats
  • flea and tick treatments
  • bowls
  • buckets
  • leashes
  • collars
  • crates
  • bedding

Cash donations will also be accepted and all donations are tax deductible.

Fire victims needing supplies for pets can pick them up from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the drive.

Victims will need to show some sort of proof they have been affected by the fires. 

Any leftover donations will be distributed to area shelters and organizations that have taken in the four-legged fire victims. 

Cash donations will be distributed to area vets and organizations that have treated or boarded the animals.
