Donation drive for Idabel animals

NORMAN, Okla. -- After the exposure of animal abuse at the Idabel Animal Shelter, Animal Rescue and Kare in Idabel and Citizens Against Animal Cruelty are coming together to hold a donation drive to help the mistreated animals.

Donations will be accepted  at Atwoods in Norman from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17. There will also be a petition for people to sign in regards to the removal of Animal Control Officer Cecil Richards.

Items that are needed:

  • Dog/Cat food
  • Towels and blankets
  • Dog/Cat beds
  • Treats and Toys
  • Kongs and peanut butter
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Paper towels
  • Bowls and buckets
  • Collars and leashes
  • Flea/Tick medications
