OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City police arrested a Shawnee man after they said he left a trail of damage in a neighborhood between southwest Oklahoma City and Moore early Wednesday morning.

Officers said the man was driving drunk, leaving the scene of multiple accidents near S.W. 140th and Robinson.

The damage spans across 10 blocks along Robinson.

Police used a trail of evidence to eventually track down the suspect's vehicle.

"It's just caused a big mess in a quiet neighborhood that we just moved into," said Amy Gamble.

It was just after midnight when police said 31-year-old Kyle Richardson went on a drunken rampage.

Oklahoma City officers said he was driving erratically through this neighborhood near S.W. 145th and Robinson, terrifying nearby residents.

"I was just lying in bed and heard a lot of commotion outside and came out here to see what was going on," said Regan Goodrich.

"We could hear the truck in the neighborhood, causing the damage, so my husband went looking, trying to figure out what was going on," said Gamble.

According to police, Richardson first crashed into a mailbox before continuing down the road.

"I seen (sic) all the bricks all the way across the road where you couldn't pass," said Gamble.

Officers said Richardson then hit a red truck, forcing the vehicle into a garage.

Next, Richardson allegedly slammed into a parked car before rolling to a stop near S.W. 19th and Telephone Rd., where he was arrested.

Neighbors said they are shocked and thankful no one got in the way of this driver.

"Crazy, unbelievable, honestly," said Goodrich.

"It's very amazing nobody got hurt," said Gamble.

According to the police report, when officers tracked down Richardson, he was slurring his speech, was unsteady on his feet and had bloodshot eyes.

He is facing three charges of leaving the scene of an accident and DUI.
