MANSFIELD, Ohio – Investigators say a drone was used to drop heroin, marijuana and tobacco into a prison yard in Ohio.
The drugs were found last week after a fight broke out in the recreation yard.
The inmates were all removed from the area and stripped searched.
After looking at camera footage, officials determined that a drone dropped off a package into one of the yards for an inmate.
However, another inmate picked the package up, which sparked the fight, FOX 8 reports.
The package was eventually thrown over a fence.
Officials say the package contained 144 grams of tobacco, 65.4 grams of marijuana and 6.6 grams of heroin.
Now, authorities are investigating who was flying the drone.
