Oklahoma high school student arrested for making school threats on phone app, police say

DUNCAN, Okla. – Students at Duncan High School in Duncan, Okla. will have stepped up police presence after a 15-year-old Duncan High School student was arrested for allegedly making threats toward his school.

Wednesday night police were called in to investigate several threats posted to a phone app called YikYak.

Investigators say the unidentified person threatened to bring a gun to school and shoot students.

Detectives arrested the student around just before midnight Wednesday that they believe is responsible for the threats.

Police are not releasing the student’s identity, but they to plan to issue additional search warrants.
