Earthquake recorded in town in northwestern Oklahoma

CHEROKEE, Okla. – A community in northwestern Oklahoma felt a little rocking and rolling this morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded a 3.8 magnitude earthquake east of Cherokee on Tuesday.

The Oklahoma Geological Survey reported the same earthquake as being a 4.0.
