Edmond Fire Academy looking for a few good citizens

EDMOND, Okla. – The Edmond Fire Department is recruiting residents for its citizen’s fire academy.

The free 12-week program begins next week.

Participants will learn a basic understanding of fire, rescue and emergency medical operations.

They’ll also be taking part in some hands on exercises.

Proper protection will be provided.

Classes will meet every Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Edmond Fire Department training center.

Participants must be 18 years old with no criminal record.
