MIDWEST CITY, Okla. - An elderly Midwest City resident was attacked by a robbery suspect this week.

The victim ended up in the hospital with a broken pelvis and the suspect is still on the run.

That same day another woman was attacked in the 8700 block of Cedar Ridge Drive, after an unknown man knocked on her door and then forced his way inside.

The suspect assaulted the woman and stole some undisclosed items.

These two crimes were within about a mile of each other.

Not only that they are very similar to another case earlier this week in Spencer.

In that case, Vivian Reeser encountered an intruder who knocked on her door and then pushed his way into her home.

The suspect took her purse and broke her collar bone.

Midwest City Assistant Police Chief Sid Porter said, "This is a very dangerous person."

In the case of the elderly man, police said he heard a knock at the door and found a man he did not know on the other side.

Porter said, "He went to shut the door when the suspect pushed the door open and knocked him to the ground."

The victim ended up with a broken pelvis and his wife was also injured.

Police said the victim actually goes to church with the victim who lives in Spencer.

Police said they are searching for the suspect.

In the meantime, they are warning to residents to be cautious.

Porter said, "Burglars want to know if someone is there so they'll knock on the door real loud because they really want to make some noise to see if someone is there to answer the door."

Police said if you are not expecting a visitor then do not answer the door.

In fact, they encourage you to go ahead and call police, especially if it's early in the morning or late at night.

Porter said, "I would rather us come out to the location and find out it be somebody they knew than them not call us."

This suspect could face a long list of charges including robbery and aggravated assault.

He's described as a black male around 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a faded black or gray polo shirt with a yellow symbol embroidered on it.

He is bald or has a shaved head.

If you have information that could help in the investigation you are asked to call Midwest City Police at 739-1306.
