Newalla, Okla.—An elderly couple who lost everything the May 19th tornado gets a new home—for free.
Diane and Roy Vuncannon recall the days of that deadly tornado. “It was actually tormenting, we heard sirens go off,” said Diane. “It was devastation, there were mobile homes, and trees and vehicles scattered everywhere.”
The Vuncannons’ were spared from the tornado’s fury as they hid in a neighbor’s storm cellar.

“You could hear it tearing up everything and when we walked out and looked over this way we just saw it all gone,” said Roy. They lost everything.

Diane said, “We spent the first two nights in our car trying to sleep.” From there they lived in this shed for weeks until they got fifth wheel.
But Friday they waited anxiously for a new home being donated to them from Daystar — a faith based television network.

“We heard about this precious couple and found out they had no insurance, they lost everything, they’re home was destroyed.” News Channel Four was there when they first walked in. From the living room, to the fully loaded kitchen, to the bathroom that looks like a luxury hotel….every room was furnished.

“There’s not enough words to thank them for what they have done,” said Roy as they walked through the house
“They’re always in our hearts and they always will be and they’re wonderful wonderful people,” said Diane. “My husband and I are both feel blessed, its something we never expected. We were looking at having to do things more or less on our own and go back into debt but now we don’t have to do that and I can’t thank God enough.”

The Daystar Television Network has a different service project every year and this year they donated as much as they could to tornado victims on Oklahoma
