Lockdown lifted at elementary school in Moore after phone threat

MOORE, Okla. – A lockdown has been lifted at an elementary school in Moore.

The lockdown was reported around 1 p.m. Thursday at Broadmoore Elementary School in the 3400 block of South Broadway.

Police said the credibility of a phone threat to the school was being investigated.

They said there was a very specific threat but could not disclose its exact nature.

Police said all threats are taken seriously but have found no evidence the threat could be carried out.

An officer will reportedly remain at the school through the rest of the day.
