AUGUSTA, Ga. – An elementary school student is recovering after being grazed by a bullet in her classroom.

The Richmond County School System says a student brought a gun to school and was playing with it inside a desk.

At that point, the student accidentally pulled the trigger and shot a female student who was at her desk.

According to WAGT, the female student was taken to a nearby hospital  and parents were allowed to pick up their children.
