OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City attorney, who is accused of federal sex crimes, was targeted in an attempted armed robbery on Friday morning.

Around 9 a.m., authorities say a man knocked on the door of Michael Billings’ office, located in the 1200 N.W. 42nd St.

Billings opened the door and the man pulled out a gun.

Billings has been indicted by a federal grand jury, accused of traveling to Peru to have sexual relations with young girls.

He is currently out on bond and has unscheduled visits from a probation officer.

In fact, that probation officer was inside Billings’ office at the time of the attempted robbery.

When the man pulled out a gun, the probation officer also brandished his weapon, making the would-be thief run away.

At this time, no arrests have been made and no shots were fired.
