Accident involving train, 3 vehicles allegedly caused by intoxicated driver

OKLAHOMA CITY – Police say an intoxicated driver tried to beat a train Sunday afternoon and failed.

According to Oklahoma City Police, the accident happened near Northwest 122nd and Santa Fe.

Police say a driver tried to go around the crossing arms and was hit by the oncoming train.  The car then hit two other vehicles.

Officials say two people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police arrested the allegedly intoxicated driver.  He is facing DUI charges.

His identity has not been released at this time.
