OKLAHOMA CITY – Police responded to the scene of a fatal auto-pedestrian accident in northwest Oklahoma City Wednesday morning.

Oklahoma City police say someone called them around 5:15 a.m. about a man lying in the street near NW Expressway and May.

When police arrived, they found a man who “appeared to have been struck by a vehicle and was deceased.”

Police say the man was already in the street when he was hit by the vehicle.

The driver stayed at the scene, police say, and is cooperating with the investigation.

Officials have not released any other details.
