Update: Child regains consciousness after nearly drowning in bathtub in Oklahoma City home

OKLAHOMA CITY – Firefighters and paramedics rushed to an Oklahoma City home after learning about a possible drowning.

Just after 3:30 p.m., emergency crews were called to a home near Hefner Rd. and Sooner Rd. on a possible drowning involving a child.

Officials with the Oklahoma City Fire Department say a child was found in a tub and that bystanders immediately began performing CPR.

Bob Moore Chopper 4 was over the scene as paramedics took one person out of the home on a stretcher and brought them to an ambulance.

Fire officials say the child regained consciousness and began breathing. However, the child is still being taken to the hospital to be checked.
