OKLAHOMA CITY - Many KFOR viewers watched as the tact team tried to get a suspect to surrender.

Bob Moore Chopper 4 flew above and photojournalists were on the ground.

But for the first time Pursuit Team bounty hunters shares exclusive video of how it all started.

After four days of searching the metro, the team finally tracked down their man. Burglary suspect James Jones 31, who was running from the law on seven warrants.

The team surrounded the home at every angle.

"We knocked on the door and we heard kids making noise in the background," Ryan bounty hunter. "Our main concern was those children."

Not knowing if Jones was armed, Ryan said the focus changed to getting the children to safety. Their mother, an acquaintance of Jones came home the same time the bounty hunters showed up.

"I told her, if he'll (Jones) let the kids come out the window we'll backup into the streets so we're no threat to him. So that's what we did, we backed up to the street until all three kids were out of the home," said Ryan.

From there the situation escalated, the team called police for backup. Five hours later Jones still refused to come out and an elderly woman on dialysis was still inside.

"We can just bust in the door and go in there, but often that ends up in an undesirable result. We want to do things right," said MSgt Gary Knight with Oklahoma City Police.

So the tact team took their time and eventually agents were able to get the woman out and Jones to wave the white flag.

With allegations the homeowners now have about the way police handled the situation, Pursuit Team is glad their cameras were rolling.

"I have a full-time guy that video's everything we do so people can't say we kicked in the wrong door, pulled guns or did anything illegal."

Initially, police believed Jones had a gun. But because of the ongoing investigation, they haven't said whether or not they found a weapon. Jones is facing a host of new charges stemming from the standoff.
