Family members seeking closure after father, son murdered in Oklahoma City home

OKLAHOMA – Oklahoma police are investigating a double homicide but said the investigation is at a standstill.

They don’t a motive or any suspects.

The crime happened last week at a home on Shartel and 29th.

Family members found 45-year-old Pedro Banuelas and 14-year-old Ricardo Banuelas lying In the middle of the floor their home.

“Someone went inside of the house and shot my brother-in-law and my nephew for no reason,” said Rosy Green.

Now, Green is responsible for planning both their funerals.

“There’s no words to describe what I feel, and I have to pull myself together, like its nothing,” Green said.

She has to prepare herself and her family to say goodbye to Pedro and Ricardo.

The two were shot to death in their home last week.

“It has destroyed everything. It has destroyed my whole family,” she said. “Everything is gone.”

Today, the house sits empty, still untouched after the shooting.

It’s too painful for family members to stay there.

It’s too hard to find peace after such a senseless crime.

“They were not drug-related. They were not gang members,” Green said. “They were just hard working people.”

She said Ricardo was an excellent kids with big dreams.

Pedro was pronounced dead at the hospital, but Ricardo remained alive connected to machines.

It was then his mother, who is currently in Mexico, had to make a decision to donate his organs as a way to keep his memory alive.

Ricardo’s aunt is handling affairs here, because his mother lives in Mexico.

She said they are having a hard time getting the money together to transport the father and son to back to Mexico for burial.

They have set up a GoFundMe account.
