GREENWOOD, Minn. – Five family members, two adults and three children, were found dead inside of a Minnesota home Thursday afternoon.
The bodies were found by police, who responded to a call for a welfare check after the husband’s co-worker became concerned when he didn’t show up for work.
School officials say they were also concerned when the kids did not show up for class two days in a row.
South Lake Minnetonka Police Chief Mike Siitari called the incident “tragic.”
“Officers responded to the residence on Channel Drive in Greenwood and unfortunately, found an entire family of five deceased,” Siitari said.
Siitari says the deaths appear to be the result of a murder-suicide.
Police have not yet released the ages of the children, or the manner of death.
