CHARLESTON, S.C. – A teen who was reported missing during a spring break trip more than seven years ago was abducted, gang-raped at a “stash house,” shot after trying to escape, and then her body was fed to alligators, an FBI agent’s court testimony alleges.

Brittanee Drexel, who was 17 when she traveled from her home in Rochester, N.Y., disappeared in 2009 during a spring break trip to Myrtle Beach.

For years, friends and family members have been searching for answers.

Earlier this year, the FBI held a news conference, announcing that they believed Drexel had been murdered.

Recently, FBI agent Gerrick Munoz testified that a several people who claim to have witnessed Drexel’s murder have come forward, WMBF reports.

During a detention hearing for Timothy De’Shaun Taylor in an unrelated case involving a 2011 robbery, Munoz testified that Taylor is one of the main suspects in Drexel’s kidnapping investigation.

Taquan Brown, an inmate who is serving time on an unrelated charge, told authorities that he was present at the stash house when Drexel was killed, court transcripts state.

According to WMBF, Brown reportedly told Munoz that he saw Taylor, who was 16 at the time, and several others sexually abuse Drexel at the stash house.

Brown also told authorities that at one point, Drexel tried to run away and was pistol-whipped.

That’s when Brown said he heard two shots fired.

Brown said he assumes Drexel was shot during that time.

Munoz testified that several witnesses said the teen’s body was put into a gator pit so it could be eaten.

Another inmate corroborated Brown’s account of what happened to Drexel, Munoz testified.

That unidentified inmate told Munoz that Taylor abducted Drexel from Myrtle Beach and that she ended up in a “human trafficking situation.”

According to WMBF, that inmate told authorities that “it became a problem” when the press began to run stories about Drexel’s disappearance, and that she was then “murdered and disposed of.”

So far, no charges have been filed.
