PONCA CITY, Okla. - Police lights blanket a Ponca City neighborhood as FBI agents scour the home for hazardous materials.

“It's a pretty quiet neighborhood for something like this to turn up. It's just unusual,” said Barry Roller.

“It's a little small town, you wouldn't see that, it's surprising,” Caleb Roller said.

For hours, crews went in and out of the home collecting evidence.

FBI special agents tell NewsChannel 4 their hazmat team is looking for possible hazardous materials on the property. But they can't tell us what exactly authorities are looking for.

People were asked to stay away from the area.

“We didn't ask anyone to evacuate, that was another thing we wanted to emphasize right off the bat. There is no issue of public safety whatsoever, even to the immediate neighbors side and back, and there's no risk to the community at large,” said special agent Jessica Rice.

Without a lot of information, neighbors watched the scene, waiting for answers.

“There's a lot of rumors and stuff going on around,” said Caleb Roller.

The U.S. Attorney's Office has sealed the records in this search. Those records will likely remain sealed until there is an indictment.

The secrecy surrounding the search has folks like Barry Roller speculating it might be something big.

“Yeah, quite a bit, to get the FBI and OSBI, every big organization there is involved, it's gotta be something serious,” he said.

One person has been arrested. Their name is unknown at this time.
