OKLAHOMA CITY – Cat lovers across Oklahoma City are in for a treat.

More than one hundred cats and kittens from across the country will compete for prizes at this year’s Oklahoma City Cat Club All Breed Cat Show.

Awards will be given out to the most popular cat.

Show manager, Janis Walkingstick said, “every spectator during the day will have a chance to vote for their favorite cat or kitten in the show.  We’ll give a “People’s Choice” award to the special cat and its’ owner.”

Other awards will be chosen by the judges.

Six judges will each pick their top ten cats and kitten winners.

The pedigreed felines are judged on standards of conformation for each breed.

The non-pedigreed household pets are judged on health and beauty alone.

Anyone who wants to join in on the show and show their own feline pet should contact Lena Voerster at (405) 329-5781 or (405) 664-6007 before April, 2.

The show will take place on April, 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bricktown Hotel and Convention Center.

Charges for show:

Adults – $4.00
Children 5-12 and Seniors – $3.00
Children under the age of 5 – FREE
