WOODWARD, Okla. – A fire consumed a business on Sunday in Woodward, according to Woodward News.
The fire was reported in the afternoon at the Cowboy Tack Shop, a 100-year-old building located between Main and Texas on 9th Street.
Officials said a building to the north of the shop has some minor damage and smoke could affect a couple of close buildings to the south.
Ninth Street, which is also State Highway 34, was closed between Main and Oklahoma.
Officials were wrapping the fire around 4:30 p.m.
“We’re going to board it off,” said Assistant Fire Chief Todd Finley. “We’ll have a truck here off and on to put out hot spots, and the police will be keeping an eye on things in case something else flares up.”
A cause of the fire hasn’t been determined nor have any damage assessments.
