Fire crews contain grass fire after welding accident in Edmond

EDMOND, Okla. – Crews have contained a grass fire near N. May Ave. and W. Waterloo Rd. Monday afternoon.

Officials said the fire started when welders were working on a fence and the grass around them ignited.

Oak Cliff fire crews said a few acres of grass burned but no structures were lost.

No one was injured.
