OKLAHOMA CITY — A local restaurant chain will be thanking firefighters for their hard and long hours out in the dangerous heat Monday with a free meal.
Hundreds of firefighters and other first responders answered the call after wildfires tore across our state earlier this month.
As a thank you, Texas Roadhouses across Oklahoma will be hosting an appreciation day on Monday, Aug. 13.
Firefighters and other first responders are invited to eat for free from 4 p.m. to close.
Emergency personnel are asked to show their badges and IDs when ordering from a special menu.
For those who are not emergency personnel, guests who bring a case of water or sports drinks will receive a free appetizer.
