OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City family is homeless on Christmas Eve after a fire destroyed most of their home.

The fire started shortly before 6 a.m. at the home in the 3800 block of S Harvey.

When fire crews arrived, they reported seeing heavy visible flames coming from the home.

There were three or four children and one adult inside the home at the time.

All of them made it out safely, according to Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland with the Oklahoma City Fire Department.

Fire investigators believe the fire started in the bedroom.
