Fire department responds to apartment fire, resident arrested for arson

OKLAHOMA CITY-- The fire department responded to call Saturday at the Potomoc House Apartments on S.W. 59th just after 12 p.m. on  Saturday afternoon.

The initial call was to investigate smoke in the building, but the fire alarm was sounded shortly after.

A wall between an occupied and unoccupied unit was aflame, but the fire was quickly extinguished.

Five investigators who responded to the scene began an investigation as to the cause of the fire.

Complex resident Micah Short was arrested on arson charges.

The 37-year-old suspect is believe to have caused approximately 6,000 dollars in damages to the structure and contents of the apartments.
