Firefighters resuscitate two dogs rescued from Oklahoma City apartment fire

OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City apartment complex suffered extensive damage when a fire broke out on Wednesday afternoon.

Around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, firefighters were called to the Woodscape Apartments, located near N.W. 39th St. and Meridian Ave.

Initially, officials from the Oklahoma City Fire Department reported seeing smoke and flames shooting from the building.

Firefighters worked quickly to evacuate nearby apartments and fight the flames.

Crews were able to quickly get the fire under control.

Officials with the fire department say crews rescued two dogs from one of the apartments and were able to successfully resuscitate them.

At this point, there is no word on what sparked the blaze.
