OKLAHOMA – Political analysts Mike Turpen and Kirk Humphreys spoke with Kevin Ogle on Flash Point about how drones could affect Oklahomans’ privacy.

Senator Ralph Shortey has written a bill that would help Oklahomans protect their land and privacy when it comes to drones.  If it passes, you would be able to shoot down a drone on your property and not be held liable.

Turpen and Humphreys discussed this bill and what you should be able to do if a drone shows up on your property.

Representative Jason Nelson also stopped by Flash Point to talk about what bills the Republican party is working on pushing through this legislative session.

Rep. Nelson talked about the education budget and the multi-million dollar American Indian Cultural Center and Museum, which right now stands incomplete.

After discussing politics with the Flash Point panel, the representative spoke about the health of his daughter and her public battle with cancer.

Rep. Nelson’s daughter, 9-year-old Grace, was diagnosed with nephroblastoma, which is a type of kidney cancer that occurs in children.

Grace has undergone two surgeries and has just completed her second round of radiation.

Rep. Nelson says members of the opposing party have also stepped up and helped their family through Grace’s illness.

“It proves again, a lot of things transcend politics, like the health of our children,” Mike Turpen said.

Fortunately, Grace is responding well to the treatment.
