WAYNE, N.J.- A store manager received a call about someone breaking into his store but soon found something totally unexpected.
About an hour after closing, four young men opened the door, looked around and walked into the empty store.
Minutes later, surveillance tape shows the men casually leaving with several items in hand.
Managers received a call that the store’s silent alarm was triggered and expected the worst.
However, they found no signs of a break-in.
The kids did some shopping inside the store but, as it turns out, they paid for everything they took, leaving cash on the counter.
Managers hoped to track down the guys and reward them for their honesty.
Kell’e Gallimore said, “Soon as I went on my laptop, it was, like, right there, front page. And I was just excited. I was, like, smiling because I was, like, oh I’m famous.”
Gallimore and his friends are all football players at a nearby university.
They said they had no idea the store was closed and thought someone was pulling a prank on them.
As a reward for their honesty, they each received a $50 gift certificate.
