A popular American car company is recalling over 100,000 vehicles to fix various safety defects.

The main recall covers 92,000 Ford sedans and sport-utility vehicles in North America.

Officials say problems could arise with an improperly installed right-hand half shaft.

Ford says it could move out of place, causing the vehicle to move unexpectedly.

The recall covers the following vehicles:

  • 2013-2014 Ford Taurus
  • 2013-2014 Ford Flex
  • 2013-2014 Lincoln MKS
  • 2013-2014 Lincoln MKT
  • 2012-2014 Ford Edge
  • 2014 Lincoln MKX

Ford is also recalling 2,100 2014 Ford Escape models to fix the panoramic glass room.

Also, 200 2014 Ford Fiestas are being recalled to fix a leaky fuel tank.

Fortunately, no accidents or injuries have been attributed to the recalls.
