CLEVELAND, Ohio – It looks like former Thunder center Kendrick Perkins is headed back to the Eastern Conference.

According to ESPN, Perkins has committed to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers after finalizing a buyout with the Utah Jazz.

Perkins was traded to the Jazz last week in exchange for Enes Kanter.

Perkins confirmed that he would be joining the Cavs on Twitter Saturday.

ESPN reports that Perkins was recruited directly by LeBron James.

Other teams including the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers, New Orleans Pelicans and the San Antonio Spurs were also said to be interested in the former Thunder player.
