If you want to check out the International Finals Rodeo this weekend at State Fair Park, wait until Sunday and you can get a pretty big discount.

Sunday is Kid’s Day where cowboys and cowgirls 12 and under get in for half price and will get a free cowboy hat at the door while supplies last.

Buckaroos can visit the arena floor for autographs, pictures and events like stick horse barrel racing and dummy roping. 

They can meet Miss Rodeo USA and many of the IFR contestants.

Science Museum Oklahoma Free Day

Looking for something free, fun and educational for the kids during the week? 

Science Museum Oklahoma is letting everyone in free Tuesday. 

Why? It’s in honor of a big announcement they will be making at 10 a.m.

So far, no word on what their big plans might be. 

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day MLK Day parade  

Monday, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is packed with events to the civil rights hero.

Start the day with a silent march stepping off from the Freedom Center at 23rd St. and Martin Luther King Ave. at 9 a.m. 

After the march will be a bell ringing ceremony on the steps of the Oklahoma Historical Society at 11 a.m.

Then join the annual parade beginning near 7th St. and Broadway at 2 p.m.

If you’re looking for a job don’t miss the job fair Monday starting at 9 a.m. at the Henrietta B. Foster Center on N.E. 4th St.

Free MLK Day Events: Myriad Gardens

Myriad Gardens Crystal Bridge

The Myriad Botanical Gardens is inviting the public to commemorate the life and work of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Monday enjoy a free gospel concert in the gardens. 

Families are invited to make a day of it with presentations starting at 10:30 a.m.

Learn about George Washington Carver and what he did to better the lives of all Americans. 

Participants will plant a peanut to take home and watch grow. 

The events are free for members and just $2 for nonmembers.
