OKLAHOMA CITY -- Well-known children's book authors are coming to Moore to raise money for new books for Moore Public School libraries.

The event is called "Drawn Together" and it's scheduled for Saturday September 28th at Lloyd Noble Center in Norman. Doors open at Noon, the event runs 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $10.

Moore Public Library branch manager, Ashley Miller and Plaza Towers Librarian Pi Johnston talk with NewsChannel 4's Ali Meyer about the loss of books at the three school libraries which were damaged during the May 20th tornado.

"Drawn Together" features four famous known authors and illustrators of children's books including, Jeff Kinney, author of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Dav Pilkey, author of Captain Underpants, Lincoln Peirce, author of Big Nate and Stephan Pastis, author of Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made.

The authors are coming from around the country to attend the book-signing event, because they wanted to help the teachers and schools devastated by the Moore tornado.
