OKLAHOMA – Good news for same-sex spouses working for the State of Oklahoma.
The State of Oklahoma employees can now add their same-sex spouses as dependents to their current benefits plan, as well as eligible children.
According to the State, this change comes as a result of the U.S. Supreme Court’s refusal to hear cases from Oklahoma and four other states that banned same-sex marriage.
Here is how to elect coverage:
- Complete a Change Request Form and, if needed, an Additional Dependents Form;
- Provide a marriage license or completed Common Law Spousal Form;
- Click here to complete the online enrollment for Plan Year 2015
- Scan and email the documents to *STO.HRMD.BenefitsGrp
