UPDATE – GOOD NEWS: Weather stable for the next week as Summer approaches

UPDATE, SUNDAY JUNE 2 @ 8:00am — Just like that, the weather can change. Computer models are now showing some severe weather this week, with hail and wind only. Very low tornado threat. Not expecting any severe weather outbreaks. However, central Oklahoma may be dealing with flooding once again.

JUNE 1 @ 7:00am — With the near-constant severe weather over the last 12 days, we are in need of a break, Oklahoma. The good news: it appears we are going to get it. Although we may have bouts of storms next week, signals don’t indicate severe thunderstorms or potential tornadic activity

Rain is beginning to wind down around the OKC metro this Saturday morning. Showers and storms will continue to push towards the southeast today. Skies will clear this afternoon and folks can begin to dry out. 5″-10″ of rain has fallen from this storm system around the metro.

May 2013 will now go down as the wettest May on record for OKC. Enjoy the pleasant weather this weekend. More showers and storms are possible next week.
