MUSTANG, Okla. – A man is behind bars in Grady County, charged in the rape of a 15-year-old girl.

Authorities said the suspect first met the teen on a website called

Investigators said 25-year-old Tanner Ray Hart of Tuttle logged on and started chatting with the underage girl.

Officials said Hart lives with his grandmother but that didn’t stop him from luring the girl to the house where he is accused of having sexual relations with her.

“She then ran away from her home and came down to Tuttle which is where Mr. Hart was living at that time,” Grady County Assistant District Attorney Cortnie Siess said. “They allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse.”

Grady County authorities said Hart picked up the girl at a fast food restaurant in Mustang and afterwards dropped her off at a Walmart in the same area.

The affidavit states that when Hart was having the alleged sexual relations with the girl she “pushed him off here” and that the two later “watched television.”

“Under the law anyone under the age of 16 can not legally give consent,” Siess said. “Therefore, we charged him with rape in the second degree, also known as ‘statutory rape.’ He was 25 at the time. She was 15. She could not legally give consent.”

Hart is now facing a felony rape charge.

“The internet now days makes it very easy for people to come in contact with juveniles which is exactly what happened here,” Siess said.

Authorities told us the girl is back at home with her legal guardian.
