Group names gun appreciation day

WASHINGTON – Gun rights and conservative groups have named Jan. 19 as “Gun Appreciation Day.” 

They are urging citizens nationwide to show their support for by heading to gun stores, ranges and gun shows. 

It’s scheduled as a message to Washington, two days before Pres. Obama’s second inauguration. 

The Gun Appreciation Day currently includes the following coalition members: Second Amendment Foundation, Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, Special Operations Speaks, Revolution PAC, Citizens and Country, Social Security Institute, Committee to Draft Judge Andrew Napolitano, Conservative Action Alerts, Women Warriors PAC, Conservative Action Fund and Political Media, Inc.

Additional organizations are expected to join in the days ahead.
