OKLAHOMA CITY - While thousands of fans will be heading to the Oklahoma State Fair Friday evening to see a presidential candidate, another group will be attending for a very different reason.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump will be speaking at the Bandshell Stage on Friday evening.

Several organizations have come together to protest his visit to the Sooner State.

Dream Act Oklahoma will be protesting outside of the fair, beginning at 4 p.m.

"We're extremely upset to hear Donald Trump will be visiting our great state this Friday. His hateful rhetoric has created a hostile environment for Latinos, immigrants, and people of color across the country. He has painted our community in a bad light, and we strongly feel he is not representative of our state.

For this reason, we are urging our community and supporters to forego the state fair on Friday, and instead join us in peacefully protesting Mr. Trump outside of the state fair. We want Mr. Trump to know that his negative comments will not be tolerated by our community, and that he will not win the Latino vote.

Furthermore, we are deeply disappointed in the state leaders who have invited Mr. Trump into our city. Their actions have marginalized their constituents and promoted hateful intolerant ideas in our great state."

Organizers say other participants are encouraged to join the rally, but ask that they wear white to stand as a united front. Also, they are urging protesters to keep any sign, banner or t-shirt free of vulgar or disrespectful language.

Instead, they say they will be sporting American flags.
