OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – While some companies are laying off employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic, others are asking for more help.
Here’s a list of companies hiring during the coronavirus pandemic:
Amazon is opening 100,000 new full and part-time positions across the U.S. in fulfillment centers and delivery network.
Oklahoma’s road and bridge builders is announcing a major hiring initiative as construction continues despite other businesses’s closures.
Crest Foods/Fresh Market is looking to hire 200-300 new workers.
Love’s is looking to hire more than 2,000 employees for its travel stops, country stores, truck care centers, Speedco locations and for its Oklahoma City headquarters.
The online teaching company is accepting applications from citizens or residents in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
On March 20, Petra announced plans to hire at least 50 new full-time positions over the next couple weeks. These new jobs will help Petra meet the rising demand for ecommerce fulfillment.
Pizza Hut is looking to add drivers, dispatchers, cooks, and management at several metro locations.
Throughout Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Sprouts Farmers Market is looking to fill 100 roles across its stores. Positions range from hourly part-time roles to core management roles. SSM Health St. Anthony is increasing staffing in a number of key positions. Positions are open in the Oklahoma City and Shawnee, Okla. areas both for individuals with and without health care backgrounds. Full-time, part-time and seasonal openings are available.
Sunbeam Family Services seeks to immediately hire 30 positions to support the organization’s early childhood services. Open positions include infant and toddler educators, infant and early childhood mental health clinicians and kitchen staff.
The company plans to hire up to 20,000 customer service representatives across the nation.
Optimize My Firm is seeking a full-time content writer to create legal content for client websites.
Walmart will be hiring 3,200 additional employees in Oklahoma through the end of May in its stores, clubs, distribution centers and fulfillment centers. Applicants can text ‘jobs’ to 240240 to get started.
The Office of Workforce Development recently released a website that provides resources for jobseekers and employers, including links to dozens of employers who are urgently trying to hire employees.
